We cook slow.

About this gathering

A table where the real
conversation happens

The Long Simmer is a monthly supper club built on one belief: the best things take time. Good food. Real community. Knowing someone, really.

Each month, eighteen people gather around a slow-cooked dish and the question underneath it. We eat together. We talk about home — where we come from, what we carried, what we're building. Something always changes by the end of the night.

This is Gathering I: What the Pot Holds. We begin with roots.

Fork & Flame

Where this comes from

Fork & Flame was born from a simple belief: food is how we find each other. Not just what's on the plate — the stories that travel with it. The grandmothers, the kitchens, the movement, the grief, the celebration.

The Long Simmer is our most intentional gathering yet. A pilot series of three evenings, each one building on the last. Roots. Crossing. Legacy. Tonight we begin where every good thing begins — with what came before us.

The evening

What to expect

You arrive to a question card. Hold it. You'll know when to use it.

The host introduces the dish — not as a recipe, but as a story.

Three courses. Three questions. One conversation you won't forget.

You leave with something — a recipe, a memory, and an invitation back.
